Permissible Range for Using Additives in Concrete:
The allowable range for the use of Capcocrete SPC251 is from 0.2 to 0.8 percent by weight of cementitious materials (200 to 800 grams per hundred kilograms of cementitious materials, including cement, silica fume, slag, fly ash, and other similar pozzolans). The optimal dosage of the concrete additive should be determined based on the mix design specifications, operational conditions, and climatic factors. Exceeding the specified limit may result in issues such as segregation and bleeding in the concrete.
How to Mix Concrete Hyperplasticizers:
To use the additive, it is necessary to dilute it with water at twice the volume of the additive, and then add it to the concrete. Additionally, the following points should be considered:
- After adding the additive, the concrete should be thoroughly mixed for 2 to 5 minutes to ensure complete blending, and uniform distribution of the additive in the concrete.
- This additive should not come into direct contact with dry cement or dry aggregate materials.
- The volume of water used to dilute the additive (before adding it to the concrete) should be subtracted from the total mixing water in the concrete.
- If there is a desire to significantly increase the slump of fresh concrete, it is necessary for the concrete mix design to be prepared in such a way that the concrete does not experience segregation and water bleeding.
