Concrete Curing Compound-CapCure O

Concrete Curing Compound (CapCure O)

CapCure O is produced based on the resin in the solvent hydrocarbon that is used to retain the water in the concrete pores and prevent water seepage from the concrete surface. This product prevents the evaporation of water from the inside of concrete by developing a continuous waterproof polymer film on the surface of the concrete.

This product is produced based on the general requirements of the Iran National Standard No. 8288. Also, this admixture meets the requirements of the ASTM C309 standard.

The advantages of using the curing compound in concrete
The usage of the curing compound
The allowable range of using the curing compound in the concrete

The allowable range for using The CapCure O is approximately 1 liter per 4 to 7 square meters. The amount of using this product in hot weather with harsh wind is higher. Also, not using this product in the allowable range may result in a reduction in efficiency or developing a flaw in the hydration process.

The instructions to use the curing compound

The time of applying the curing compound on the vertical surfaces is right after opening the molds and on the horizontal surfaces adjacent to environmental conditions is at the beginning of the middle curing period (After the first setting time of the concrete and when the bleeding and troweling are finished.

The curing compound is usually applied two times in two directions perpendicular to each other to fully cover the surface. For vertical surfaces, the curing compound is applied two times within one hour to fully cover the surface.

It is recommended to apply the curing compound by spraying with a spraying device on the surface; however, for small surfaces, the curing compound can be applied with a brush and a scratch brush if the supervisory system confirms. In case of using a

spray, it is recommended to place the spray nozzle at a 0.5-meter distance from the concrete surface.

If the final surface operations such as painting are accomplished on the final surface of the concrete, it is necessary to wipe this product off the surface after the curing period. This should be done by mechanical methods. The water jet and sandblast are high-quality cleaning methods; however, in small-sized structures sanding can be used as well.

Note: in case of using the white curing compound, it is necessary to mix it completely before using.

Physical and Chemical Specifications of the The allowable range for using the form release agent

The allowable range for using the LubriForm O is approximately 1 liter per 10 to 20 m2 of the form.

The instruction to use the form release agent

It is necessary to clean the forms, brand new or used, from dust, crushed concrete, and the left oil before preparing them. Clean forms enhance the effectiveness of the release agent and highlight the aforementioned properties. It is recommended to use the Betonyse of Capco to wash the forms off the left concrete. Cover the surface of the form with LubriForm O after cleaning with suitable methods. Using the painting brush, sponge and spraying is recommended; however, spraying will have better results. The coverage must be as thin as possible and a thick coverage can reduce the durability of the final surface as well as being uneconomical. The surface of the form must be cleaned once the form is opened.
