Concrete Hyperplasticizers – Capcocrete SPC100

SPC100 hyperplasticizers is a high-range water reducer that can significantly enhance the flowability of concrete/mortar without altering the water-to-cement ratio. It is used to increase the flowability of concrete/mortar without changing the water-to-cement ratio or to reduce the water-to-cement ratio without compromising flowability.

This product is manufactured in accordance with the general requirements of the Iranian National Standard No. 2930-1 and the performance specifications outlined in Tables 1-3 and 2-3 of the Iranian National Standard No. 2930-2. Additionally, it complies with the requirements of Category F in ASTM C494 standard and Table 1 of EN 934-1 standard, as well as Tables 1-3 and 2-3 of EN 934-2 standard.

The advantages of using a concrete hyperplasticizers include:
The use of concrete hyperplasticizers:
Permissible Range for Using Concrete hyperplasticizers:

The permissible range for the use of concrete hyperplasticizer (SPC100) is from 0.3% to 1.0% by weight of cementitious materials (300 to 1000 grams per hundred kilograms of cementitious materials, including cement, silica fume, slag, fly ash, and other similar pozzolans). The optimal dosage of the admixture must be determined based on the mix design specifications and the environmental and operational conditions. Finally, experimental mixes should be prepared. Exceeding the declared permissible limit may result in consequences such as segregation and water bleeding in the concrete.

How to Mix Concrete hyperplasticizers:

To use the additive, it is necessary to dilute it with water in double the volume of the additive. Then, add it to the concrete when it has reached a low initial slump. Additionally, the following points should be observed:

  • After adding the additive, the concrete should be thoroughly mixed for 2 to 5 minutes to ensure complete blending, and uniform distribution of the additive in the concrete.
  • This additive should not come into direct contact with dry cement or dry aggregate materials.
  • The volume of water used to dilute the additive (before adding it to the concrete) should be subtracted from the total mixing water in the concrete.
  • If there is a desire to significantly increase the slump of fresh concrete, it is necessary for the concrete mix design to be prepared in such a way that the concrete does not experience segregation and water bleeding.
