Concrete Hyperplasticizers – Capcocrete SPCA100

Capcocrete SPCA100 is a high-range water reducer, hyperplasticizer, and rapid setting agent used to increase the flowability of concrete/mortar without altering the water-to-cement ratio or to reduce the water-to-cement ratio without compromising flowability. This additive also reduces setting time and enhances the one-day compressive strength of hardened concrete.

This product is manufactured in compliance with the general requirements of the Iranian National Standard No.2930-1 and the performance specifications of Tables 6, 1-3, and 2-3 in the Iranian National Standard No.2930-2. Additionally, this additive conforms to the requirements of ASTM C494 standards for categories C and F, as well as Table 1 of EN 934-1 standard, and Tables 6, 1-3, and 2-3 of EN 934-2 standard.

The advantages of using a concrete Hyperplasticizers include:

• Reducing the water-to-cement ratio in concrete results in uniform consistency and increased compressive strength at 28 days.
• Reduced water-to-cement ratio leads to decreased water absorption and permeability due to the reduction in water content relative to cementitious materials.
• Improved Cement Distribution, Enhanced Compaction Ability in Various Conditions, and Increased Compressive Strength at Equal Water-to-Cement Ratios.
• Improving the pumpability of concrete.

The use of concrete Hyperplasticizers:

• Production and implementation of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete in cold weather conditions.
• Production of highly flowable concrete mixes.
• All types of concrete pouring in cold weather conditions.
• Production of concrete with a water-to-cement ratio between 0.40 to 0.45 and initial slump less than 5 centimeters.
• Manufacturing precast concrete components under standard and accelerated curing conditions with steam.

How to Mix Concrete Hyperplasticizers:

To use the additive, it is necessary to dilute it with water at twice the volume of the additive, and then add it to the concrete. Additionally, the following points should be considered:

After adding the additive, the concrete should be thoroughly mixed for 2 to 5 minutes to ensure complete blending, and uniform distribution of the additive in the concrete.
This additive should not come into direct contact with dry cement or dry aggregate materials.
The volume of water used to dilute the additive (before adding it to the concrete) should be subtracted from the total mixing water in the concrete.
If there is a desire to significantly increase the slump of fresh concrete, it is necessary for the concrete mix design to be prepared in such a way that the concrete does not experience segregation and water bleeding.

Safety Precautions When Using Concrete Hyperplasticizers:

• In case of contact with this additive in the eyes, the person should rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes, keeping the eyelids open.
• In case of contact with this additive on the skin, promptly wash the contaminated skin with clean water for 15 minutes.
• Contaminated clothing should be washed with appropriate cleaning agents before reuse.
• If the affected person continues to experience discomfort, it is necessary to seek medical attention promptly.
