SilCoat W is a Silicone Sealer without the solvent and hydrophobic impregnation property that penetrates inside the capillary tubes of the surface without changing the color and form of the material and strengthens them against water penetration, atmospheric gases, and dust by destroying their surface adsorption.

This product meets the requirements of National Standard No. 18330-2. Also, this product meets the requirements of grade MC of the EN 1504-2 Standard.

  • Surface preparation: the desired surface must be cleaned from contaminations like dust, oil, weak particles, yeast, and other contaminations. This product can be implemented by spray, roller, or brush. A coating layer of SilCoat W is usually enough to protect the surface therefore; it is necessary to prevent the accumulation of materials on the surface. The implementation must be accomplished as much as the surface is capable of penetrating. Also, for porous surfaces such as concrete cobblestone, the impregnation method can be done by submerging the element in a SilCoat W pool for 15 to 20 seconds. This product must not be implemented if the temperature of the bottom surface is below 5˚C or over 40˚C or if there is the possibility of rainfall or harsh wind in the next 8 hours. Let the surface dry for 72 hours in case of rainfall or washing and then implement the product operations. The amount of using this product directly depends on the porosity of the surface. The amount of using the product for 2 to 4 square meters is 1 kg for clay brick, concrete, cobblestone, and other materials with high adsorption. The amount of using for low-adsorption surfaces such as stone, ceramic, and tile is 1 kg for 4 to 8 square meters. It should be noted that the accurate amount must be determined by carrying out a test on the surface of the site. Besides, the tools must be washed with water once the operation is done.
  • Performance: It is necessary to let the product dry for 1 to 3 weeks to fully evaluate its performance.
